“Start with Why” by Simon Sinek
I really recommend this book for leaders who need some help inspiring and motivating their teams.
I reference Simon’s videos and concepts a lot, so it’s only fair I pass them on to you! Get the book and learn about the importance of “Why” when leading your team.
“The Five Dysfunctions of a Team” by Patrick Lencioni
This book is described as a “Leadership fable” and although it is written as an entertaining fictional tale, this book can have real-life impact for your team. Add this to your leadership reading list!
I love writing in paper notebooks when I’m working and especially in meetings. Why?
Because when you’re writing on paper and not using a computer, people know you’re listening to them and not checking your email! Believe me, it can make a big difference in helping people feel like you value what they say.
These notebooks are my absolute favourites.
Sakura Micron Pens
Ok now I’m telling you what pens to buy?
But seriously, these pens are great because the ink doesn’t bleed and they have a smooth stroke across the page. Fantastic for journalling or making meeting notes at work!
Logitech Professional Presenter
When you’re delivering a presentation, it really helps when you’re in control of the slides. Instead of leaving it for someone else to press the button for you, take control and present with confidence.
This is a really good presentation device and I highly recommend it. Especially good for leaders who need to deliver a lot of presentations in places that don’t have great equipment. You can bring your own!
